- Install Guest Additions ISO Automatically from Ubuntu Repositories using APT package manager. Insert Guest Additions ISO File Manually To manually insert the VirtualBox Guest Additions ISO file on your Ubuntu 20.04 VM, navigate to Menu bar on your VM and click Devices Insert Guest Additions CD image.
- Install the Nextcloud Ubuntu Appliance for Raspberry Pi. Download the Nextcloud image. Verify your download Run this command in your terminal in the directory the iso was downloaded to verify the SHA256 checksum.
- To use the upcoming Fedora nextcloud container on an EL7 box using docker/runc. However, that decision is indeed still a little way off. In terms of Fedora at least Nextcloud will be maintained so long as it exists. I ended up packaging NC 10 rather than the 11 build to get through the review quicker as there were some dependency issues.

We will walk you through the steps of setting up your Nextcloud Ubuntu Appliance in a vm with Multipass and get logged in. What you'll need A PC running Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise/Education Update 1803 or later, or any version of Windows with VirtualBox.
The 'Secure Shell' protocol provides access to your Ubuntu Appliance and uses cryptographic keys to authenticate you to the device. You will need SSH software and keys.
Some versions of Windows 10 include an SSH client already, but if yours does not or you're unsure, follow these steps to install one.
OpenSSH client is an installable feature of Windows 10.
To install OpenSSH, start Settings then go to
Apps > Apps and Features > Manage Optional Features.Scan this list to see if OpenSSH client is already installed. If not, at the top of the page select
Add a feature, then, to install the OpenSSH client, locateOpenSSH Clientand clickInstallOnce the installation completes, return to
Apps > Apps and Features > Manage Optional Featuresand you should see the OpenSSH component(s) listed.
To install OpenSSH using PowerShell, first launch PowerShell as an Administrator. To make sure that the OpenSSH features are available for install type the command:
Get-WindowsCapability -Online | ? Name -like 'OpenSSH*'

The Web Installer is the easiest way to install Nextcloud on a web space. It checks the dependencies, downloads Nextcloud from the official server, unpacks it with the right permissions and the right user account. Finally, you will be redirected to the Nextcloud installer.
- Right-click here and save the file to your computer
- Upload setup-nextcloud.php to your web space
- Point your web browser to setup-nextcloud.php on your webspace
- Follow the instructions and configure Nextcloud
- Login to your newly created Nextcloud instance!

Note that the installer uses the same Nextcloud version as available for the built in updater in Nextcloud. After a major release it can take up to a month before it becomes available through the web installer and the updater. This is done to spread the deployment of new major releases out over time.
